Christmas Time

My very first Christmas. Hailee wanted Jackson to play with her in her castle.
Grandpa Dyer playing with Hailee in her castle on Christmas Day. We love you Grandpa!
This was Jackson's gift from Santa (my parents). Doesn't my momma do great diaper cakes! I loved it, even if Jackson didn't get the biggest thrill out of it this year.
My man and my little man, aren't they handsome
This was Hailee's gift from Santa (also my parents). She absolutley loves her princess castle, every night she plays in it and always wants brother to come inside with her.

My Funny Children...

Chillin out...relaxi taxi, laying on mommy and daddy's bed.
This is Hailee rockin out to her Dad's music on his Ipod sitting on his dresser in the closet. I wonder what she was listening too?

Merry Christmas

Hailee things that I want to remember...

When she dances and sings with her mouth wide open, even to songs she doesn't know.

When she watches the movie "Enchanted" and dances to the song at the ball with her arms spread wide open, like she is doing the waltz with a partner.

She always wants grapes when she wakes up and before she goes to bed.

How much she loves to hear the Three Little Bears at bedtime

She calls Smarties candies, Smarnies

She loves to kiss on her baby brother, Jackson, and always calls him brother, never Jackson.

She's a planner, she likes to know everything she is doing in her day...just like her mama. :)

Her fleece pants are called her cozies and her pigtails, her piggies.

She has spent every night the last three weeks in her Santa jam jams that Marmie got her, I get them off of her long enough to wash them on the weekends!

Jackson's Dedication

This morning was Jackson's dedication at church. We were blessed to have both families (the Dyer's and the Hamilton's) there with us. It was a great time to be together and lift our little man up to the Lord in prayer and thanksgiving.

Christmas Lights

I go back to work tomorrow. It is bittersweet in a way. As much as I will miss all the time that I have had with my children these past eight weeks, I am looking forward to going to the bathroom alone, getting to finish a full meal at lunch, and have enough time to finish a glass of water! It has been wonderful being able to be with Hailee and Jackson, being able to watch them grow up a little more everyday, read stories at naptime, go for walks, and even watch the movie "Cars" with Hailee for the millionth time! (Her new favorite to watch)

Friday evening we went to Chickasha to see the Christmas lights with the family. It was great, kind of magical in a way. I haven't been there in five years and it was nice to go back and see all the displays, it was even more wonderful to watch Hailee as she saw it all for the first time. Little Jackson slept all the way through, of course.

Thankful Thanksgiving

This is a pic of Jackson's bum, a friend from work got this as a gift for him and he was finally able to fit into it yesterday. I think it's pretty darn cute myself.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Here's the latest of the little man, Nathan Jr.

I love this picture of Hailee, she's just too adorable. When did she get so big? It wasn't the best photo astetichally speaking, those are Nathan's legs behind her but it was a quick shot.

Hailee was helping me put up Christmas in the house and she decided that hers and Jackson's stockings would be great socks!

Dancing Queen

Hailee absolutley loves to dance with Nathan, it's an almost daily event in our home. She will dance to anything that has a beat. We were in my Dad's shop a couple of weeks ago and this song came on the radio, I still have no idea what song it was. It is normally a song that I would never listen to, but Hailee heard it and asked Nathan to turn it up so they could dance to it. It made for a pretty funny video.

Two Cute Kiddos

I love this picture. It's getting more and more difficult to get a picture of Hailee when she actually is smiling and to have one with Jackson's eyes open, double wow! This is definitley one that will be going back with me to work...in just four short weeks.

Jackson

Aunt Leslie again . . .

I just wanted to post a few pictures of Jackson from last night. He was able to come out of the nursery last night and spend some time with the family. Everybody got to cuddle with him and he finally got to rest surrounded by his big sister, momma and daddy. Being the silly aunt I am, I hadn't even expected to see him so I had no camera. Lucky for us, his daddy has the super cool iPhone and was able to snap a few and send them to me for this update.

Momma and baby are resting very comfortably and you can tell Courtni's feeling better because she's having Chicken Alfredo and chocolate cake and asking for Monkey Bread of all things. :) But, she's got to keep her strength up because once she leaves the hospital it's goodbye mom of one, hello mom of TWO! As her sister I will just wait and see how that works for her before Scott and I take that plunge.

Another photo of the best looking guy in the family:

Jackson Dyer Hamilton has arrived!

Special guest blogger today: it's Aunt Leslie!!

Mr. Jackson Dyer Hamilton joined the clan this morning at 8:03 a.m. He weighed in at 7 lb, 14 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long. He's doing well though he's spending some time in a special care section of the nursery because he was so excited to see Aunt (okay, maybe I'm not the cause) that he was breathing a little TOO fast. But we expect him to be out soon and spending time cuddling with mom, dad, and big sister Hailee. They're all doing well and aside from wanting to see their baby boy soon, are all resting comfortably.

Here are some pics so far. I apologize that there aren't many of the man himself but since we haven't gotten a real close up, you get what I have . . .

Happy 30 Years Mom and Dad!

Mom and Dad celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on October 6th. Thank you both for showing Leslie and I all these years of what a committed marriage, friendship, and partnership can look like! You're relationship to one another has given all of us an outline to mirror. Your love, care, support, and affection for one another is exemplary and wonderful to watch. Mom, you have taught Leslie and I a lot about what it takes to be a wife and woman of substance, and Dad, you played a huge role in who we chose for our husbands, you always wanted the very best for us. I think we did great! Love to you both. Congrats on 30 years, here's to another 30!

Family

Here's a pic of all my Dyer cousins. It was taken at Jessica's baby shower, we missed you Leslie!

From left, Kara, Teretta, Lindsey, Stephanie (prego), Jessica (prego), Courtni ( a blimp-prego).

I'm so fortunate and thankful to have such a close knit family and to know that no matter where life takes us, we have a person to go to no matter what, because....we're family.

Marmie and her "younger" girls. Aren't they too cute. Before too long, she'll have a "younger" man in her life. :)

25 days

Let me start by saying, if I hear one more person say, wow, "You've gotten big! You're huge!" I may be forced to attack. No, no, I'm only kidding.

This is the latest pic that was taken of me and the little guy. I can't wait to finally meet him in just 3 short weeks. I'm tired just looking at the pic, aren't you!

Four Years Ago

Today is Nathan and mine's 4 year wedding anniversary. It's amazing to me that it has been that short, ecspecially because we have been "together" in some way for almost ten years. As Cynda states, "one prom date, now it's been four years and nearly two little ones with us now." Wow! I truly treasure Nathan and all that he brings to our family. The husband that he has been to me has been such a blessing. I know that it takes a day to day commitment to make a marriage work, last, and thrive...I'm not a believer in that happening naturally. I have to say that he provides leadership to me in so many ways, he STILL makes me laugh everyday and he is the man that I want to go through this life with everyday. I will never regret saying, "yes" and I'm so thankful he said, "I do."

Laughing Cousins

I took this video of the girls. Hailee has found a new joy, making Emily laugh! She absolutely loves to make her laugh. It was really cute to see them growing up and getting more of a personality. I know Hailee is going to be a wonderful big sister. Only 4 weeks to go!

Welcome Home!

This is our front porch at our new home! It officially became ours this past Friday, it's been a VERY busy weekend but so worth it. I got the two red chairs for my birthday last weekend. It makes me think of one of my favorite thoughts....sitting on the front porch with Nathan and my kids drinking sweet tea and watching the Oklahoma sun go down.

This is a picture of part of Hailee's room. It was one of the room's I wanted to get done first since she has had so many changes this summer. I wanted her to feel "at home". She loves her purple room, except she calls it pink. :)

Here is a picture of our fire place, just waiting on a picture of little Jackson to add to it with Hailee's.

Hailee loves turning the water on and off in Mommy and Daddy's bathroom. I have to say, this is my favorite room of the house. For those of you who know me well, know that I am a bath nut!

Last night we had some really bad thunderstorms here in Moore. We lost power around 8:30 and we figured it wouldn't be too long before it came back on. We were wrong. We scrounged up some candles and managed to find a flash light amongst all the boxes in our house. It was somewhat neat though, it was just the three of us sitting in the candlelight in our new home. It was about 10:00, no power. Hailee had fallen asleep, I was sweating so much because there was no A/C and right now I am a human furnace with this baby boy! 12:30am comes, still no power. We're all sleeping (well, I am trying) in the living room and we decide to drive to my sister and brother-in-laws house to sleep there. We loaded Hailee into the car and a block down the road lights were on. So, we figured we would drive for a little while, because surley it wouldn't be too long before ours came back on. Wrong again. We came back home and decided to open our windows to let some air in and tough it out in the living room. Well, there wasn't a single breeze in the air. It was still, humid, sticky, and muggy. Hailee and Nathan fell asleep almost immediatley, me, not so much. Then, at 6:00am, our power came back on. We jumped up and quickly turned off our lights that had been on so Hailee would not wake up, moved her to her bed and off to bed we went. 6:30am, Hailee wakes up. So, all in all, very long night! Tomorrow we are calling it lazy dazy day, and I am looking forward to it!
