Jackson has started to appreciate hearing his voice. He wakes one of us up almost every morning, screaming, in a good way. He loves to hear himself, and although it can get very loud in our home with two children under three, I would rather hear these screams and laughter than most other things that my ears take in. Nathan was making him laugh in this particular video. It's fairly long, but worth it, or so I think. :)

Daddy's Girl
I was taking Hailee and Jackson to Rhonda's this morning before heading to work. Hailee was in the back seat, we were listening to music and talking about the day ahead. She asked, "Mommy, does Daddy have to go to work today?" I said, "yes, honey, he does." She said, "It's not Saturday?" I said, "No, it's Friday. Tomorrow is Saturday and Daddy will be home with us tomorrow and Sunday." She let out a big sigh and said, "oh, okay." I said, "you love your daddy, don't you Hailee?" She said, "yes, I do love Daddy, he's a good man." I smiled a big grin and said, "yes, he is a very good man and a good daddy."
I just thought that must be one of the greatest compliments you could ever get as a parent, ecspecially from a two year old! I am so blessed to have two wonderful kids and a good man in my life. Maybe someday, Jackson will say that about his Momma. I've heard boys love their Momma's. :)
A picture to go along with the story...

Family
Look at that smile!

Note* only typing JD because of Grandpa, he's the only one that can call him that now. I'm sure his name will evolve into some version of that when he gets older with his friends, but I named him Jackson for a reason. :) Grandpa has always called him JD (Jackson Dyer)

The BUMBO
One of the best little kid inventions ever made...the BUMBO. It's this little compact rubber seat for infants. I never bought one when Hailee was little but now we have one for Jackson. He is just now big enough to hold his head upright and he loves to sit in this seat. It's a nice break from his swing or our arms from time to time. Here are some bumbo pics of him and his big sister.
