Marmie's Playhouse

I just want to publically say how wonderful my Mom is. After working as a career professional for over 30 years, she is now watching and caring for my children and my niece. She is caring and committed to teaching, guiding, and nurturing them. I know that it is a hard job to take on, but I am so grateful to have her there with my kids everyday. Above all, my greatest contribution to this world is my children. I am extraordinarily blessed to be a mother of two healthy and happy children. I am also grateful to have a career that is fulfilling and rewarding to me personally. Although there are moments when I wish I could be with my kiddos during the day, I always rest in knowing that my Momma is with them and that she is pouring into them, her love, patience, kindness, service, humor, and wisdom. I'm proud to call her my Mom, and Dad, you're pretty great also! You know I love you both! Below, are some pictures that Mom has sent to Leslie and I of the kids during the days.

There's that tongue again, what a surprise! Jackson enjoys his "Target runs" with Marmie.

I bet he's wishing this was a power wheel race car set, lol! They play together so well, but I know that will change someday soon.

This is Jackson's favorite "accessory", his tongue. :)

ADA - Tour De Cure Ride 09

Me and Nate

Dad and I

Team Boeing
Dustin, Nathan, Courtni, Randy
We missed you Austin, Kendi, Chris, and Kelli!

This morning, Nate, Dad, and I headed west to Mustang at 5:45am to ride in the 3rd annual American Diabetes Association TDC ride. Nathan rode last year, at that time I was 5 months pregnant with Jackson, so this was my first time to ride in this event. It was HOT! I'm pretty sure it was near 90 at 7:30am when we began. It was a long 4 hour ride, hot and windy! I am very proud of Nathan and Dad and myself. We were a part of team Boeing and we collectivley raised the biggest amount of money, $6300, to help find a cure for diabetes, a disease that personally affects many members of my family, including Nate. Nathan was the team captain, so I was a very proud wife and fellow teammate. I knew he worked really hard to get donations and also to compete in this ride. Great job Nathan and Dad! I will also honorably mention Dad and note the fact that he had a bad sinus infection while he rode, but he pulled through and did great! I am proud of you Dad!
